Bio

Much of my Grandmother's side of the family came from Bear Lake, Michigan, and as it turns out, thanks to a gentleman who got in touch with me, I still, to this day, have family there. A reason I am thrilled I joined this site.

Almost all of the photos I have of the graves from the Bear Lake area were taken by, the now fallen, Scabbardfish, John "Jack" Clarence Monk. As a thank you for so many wonderful photographs and to pay homage to both him and the town that grew so many of my Grandmother's family members, I took over management of any memorials under Scabbardfish in the Bear Lake area.

If any of these are members of your family, and you would like to take over management, please let me know. I follow the rule of, if you are in any way family, and I am not, if you are closer family than I am and/or if you have more knowledge of the person and want to write a biography for them, please request management, if that is your wish. If you have any personal knowledge of a person, and don't want to manage their memorial, please still message me with any information, so that when I get to their bio, I can include it. A person's life should amount to more than just dates and places. It's the inner workings of a person that should be remembered when possible.

Let me know, kindly, if you find any mistakes in the memorials I manage, as my hope is to correctly memorialize those who have passed and preserve ancestors memories and places in history as correctly as possible. I also do take a little extra time to double check suggestions for that very reason. Please don't post any pictures other than those of the individual or the gravesite. I don't like death certificates, for the specifics of what ends someone's life, is not my right to broadcast.

It would be regretful if the stories of family and friends were left untold, when there is such a great platform to share them and have them memorialized for the future generations.
