I fell in love with Find A Grave immediately when I stumbled upon it. The concept of having these memorials for those who have departed this life is absolutely fitting. Many have done the work of creating these memorials and even photographing the gravestones. I believe it is helpful to put photographs and some biographical information to these memorials when possible. Personal remembrances are better still. It is something simple those of us still here can do for those who have passed on. I do this when possible even when the person memorialized was not a relative. As for my interests in my departed ancestors, I am researching the Burkharts of Dade County Georgia, Fort Payne AL and Chattanooga Tn. Also my relatives on my mother's side of the family: the Russells of Bradley County Tn, and the Tisdales, Hueletts and Hendersons of Michigan. It is always a joy to hear from distant cousins and share phots and stories.
