Bio

Families: *Allan/Allen, Andrulewicz (sp.?), Collier, Czarnecki (and variant spellings), Danilowicz, DeBoy/Dubois, Dooley, Farrell/Ferrell, Gaydos, *Galt, Haslin,*Poe, Pundt, Reilly, Ropel, Rusnak, Shapiro, Siemer, Trudnak, *Valentine, Wojnar, Zinkand, etc.

*The Allans, Galts, and Poes to whom I refer are the Galt Allans who emigrated from Scotland to the US and nearby countries in the 1700s and 1800s, including William Galt, Sr. and Jr., John Allan. The Allan/Allen family, to the best of my knowledge, also immigrated to Canada, England, Ireland, etc. John Allan is especially notable in that he is my fourth-great-grandfather through one of his unacknowledged sons, thereby making Mr. Poe my third-great-uncle by his de facto adoption, although it was not legally formalized. As such, I consider Frances Keeling Valentine Allan as a sort of adoptive grandmother, of whom I do know. I also know that he acknowledged twins who died young after he received news of their deaths and acknowledged one Edwin Collier, but nothing more.

I know nothing of my *direct* fourth-great-grandmother, unfortunately, and seek to discover her identity if possible. All I know for certain is that her son, my third-great-grandfather, was an unacknowledged son named Charles and that he was born in Freedom, now part of Baltimore, Maryland.
