I was born and raided in Rapid City, SD. I am a 1966 graduate of Douglas High School at Ellsworth Air Force Base and a 1971 graduate of Black Hills State College in Spearfish, SD.

I served in the US Navy (USS John R Craig DD-885 and USS Sterett DLG/CG-31). I worked for companies in Cedar Rapids, IA, Richardson & Allen, TX and Beresford, SD before returning to Rapid City where I now live with my wife.
