Bio

Hi my name is Brad Rogers, from California. Ive been interested in genealogy over the years, but sadly waited too long to get really involved. My dads side is from Norway, they settled in Minnesota near St Cloud in the 1800s. He and a sister and brother drove across the country to California in 1928 in a Ford Model T.

My moms side is from Texas, and Ive traced some ancestors back to England and Scotland, 1500s and before. My moms maiden name is Faircloth, her mother (Lena Boozer Walston) and family is someone Im actively trying to find, along with anyone in the Faircloth-Gallaway family.

I was able to keep the family photos over the years, amazing given what I went thru and moving; Recently have been scanning in photos and trying to piece together my family tree. I made contact with a brilliant and accomplished expert in genealogy in the Faircloth line and have info back to the 1600s, and really love the details! Am hoping to write up history on everyone.

I had a great Aunt Trudie Faircloth in Fort Worth who kept immaculate records and had alot of photos. Sadly she passed in 2000 and I was not in contact with her. I had visited her in 1988 and had an old video camera as she showed me photos I recorded them and her talking. OH! If only! if only I was more alert and sought to get copies altho back then scanning was expensive.

By all means, anyone who can help find info, or is related to the Boozer, Walston, Gallaway, Faircloth, Glass? or their families, please reach out to me.

My field of work is technology. Computers, applications, programming etc. I can help with computers and have thought of making an application for storing details for genealogy research altho there are good tools out there.
Thank You!
