Hans Victor von Maltzahn, the author of the acclaimed "Black Sun Series" of books was born in Dublin, Ireland, and raised in North York, Ontario, Canada. He has been writing non-fiction throughout his school and working life, and created poetry while attending university. He became serious about writing fiction in 2006, when he began the first book in the "Black Sun Series," The Black Sun Ascendant: An Assassin's Tale (c. 2011 & 2015).
He is currently involved in genealogical research into his family's ancestors; especially those on his father's side.
He lives in Ontario, Canada, with his wife, Joanne, and cat, Benny.
