I've always loved history and ancestry, and absolutely love looking at old photos of my family. I'm lucky since my aunt has done all the work on the French Canadian side of the family . My Japanese heritage has been very challenging.
I also decided to start pulling together my husband's northern European and Nordic family ancestry since they knew little of their family history. It's been fun traveling around Oregon and finding more pieces to their puzzle. So many surprises! I love the community engagement on this website. So many people willing to help each other preserve the facts.
