Thirty years ago, I began doing genealogy with some family members. Some close and some very distant. But, being married and having four children, I just did not have the time this endeavor requires. Plus, it was becoming an obsession with me. So, I stuck everything in a drawer and said…”when the kids are gone and I am retired, I will have time to do this properly.” Now, after too many years in the government ( IRS & USPS), I am retired. I purchased a new computer program, moved everything from the old to the new, and starting anew.
