Searching for family members! I've found myself tangled up in this genealogy web for at least the last decade and it is a disturbingly frustrating and highly rewarding journey so far. I tend to go full gas searching for long stints & then burn out and step away for smaller periods. My quest is that I NEED TO KNOW! There was a person at a point in time that did exist or I ultimately wouldn't be, so there has to be a record, grave, ghost of that person right? Yeah, sure.

Anyway, if I am requesting a family member be added to a family (kids, parents, siblings) please be assured that I have done every bit of research to be done & most generally can provide a record if asked. This does NOT mean I've located a missing grave or that I have a secret knowledge that no one else has. This does mean that I may create a memorial because I KNOW the person existed and can at least prove that. As far as where and how they were buried when they passed, if they had little means they are probably buried in the same graves as other family, it is unmarked or it is in a random homestead field with a stone or rock marker. Unless it is recent, means or no, some folks go with cremation. If they had means, they'll have a marked grave, generally speaking.

I am willing to visit nearby cemeteries for folks needing pictures or information. I am willing to assist people who are hitting those super fun brick walls, as much as I can anyway. Generally, if there is a record that exists, I can find it. But for a vast majority I have seen, the records just don't exist. Also, please share anything you'd like, especially if you think you may be a connection to me or my family.

My surnames are as follows:
Fathers side- Kemp, Black, Jenkins, Quinn, Hood, Peak, Gibson, Fann, Hankins, Smith, Davis, Sears, Chadwick, Dunnagan (all variations of spelling), Adcock, Crow, Pendergrass, Tidwell, Edney, Parker, Taliaferro, Dotson, Grizzel, Parrish, etc
Mothers side: Martin, Thomason, Abercrombie, Cavender, Cardwell, Deadmon, Tatum, Grimes, Smith, Whitson, Lechtenberger, Williams, Harrison, Morris, Tarrant, Floyd, Davis, Perrin, etc
