Bio

While most of the memorials I have are family members*, I do take on management of a memorial if it is not being handled by anyone (i.e. listed as managed by Find A Grave). I do that when I have information to add. If I have the memorial for one of your family members, who is not part of my family tree, I would be happy to transfer management. I don't believe as one FAG member told me, that cousins are "too far afield from the FAG guidelines". Family is family.

Also, feel free to share the grave photos that I have attached. They are not some masterpieces of creative work, they are simply photos I was able to get because of my proximity to the cemetery. I do not require credit for the photo, but if you want to mention that it came from this site, that would be good.

If you want to use a photo of the person that I have attached, I would prefer if you asked for permission, just so I know how it is being used. I would also appreciate being listed as the source.

I am very interested in the town of Nova Lubovna, Slovakia. I am adding the memorials from the three cemeteries there, and hope to connect those family members still in Slovakia with those in the U.S. I would love to be able to link the babies and young children in the cemetery to their families. I have several relatives who died as babies, and I always make sure they are remembered. If you know who they are, please let me know.
There is a large group of people who can trace their roots to NL , who ended up in Cleveland, Ohio. I am working on getting their information added and corrected to existing memorials. It is an ongoing project.

(I have used the Slovak versions of the names, but in some cases I have removed the accent marks from letters. This is to help when the list is alphabetized. The markings will alter the order, and those not familiar with the language may miss a memorial they are looking for. I have added the English /Latin version of the first name when I think it will help identify the person to U.S. family members.

If you have questions or additions, please let me know.

*This refers to memorials in the U.S.cemeteries. I am related to a number of those in Slovakia, but not all of them.
