Bio

I was born in Panola County, Dotson, TX to a hard working farm family in February 1941. Jan, my wife, was born in the Mississippi Delta flat lands and grew up in the Dell Arkansas area until her family moved North to Detroit and Chicago to work in the automobile industry. 40 acre blackland farm was not really a good source of income. Long story behind both both our backgrounds; but, anyway, I came across F.A.G. a few years ago after Jan and I began doing a little genealogy work. Since then I have been trying to become more involved in managing some of the memorials of immediate family members. First effort to manage a memorial was with our older son Justin Wade Griffith JustinWadeGriffith . Justin came into the world while we were in Brazos County Texas; but fate dealt him a tough blow being born with a congenital heart defect. Thanks to great doctors at Texas Children in Houston, TX he made it until he was 15 years old and was called to his heavenly home. We shared a lot of great fun times together while he was with us. Justin was a great fun loving youngster. Anyway, I have continued on with my F.A.G. endeavors after beginning with Justin's memorial and found a great deal of satisfaction in trying to improve on some memorials of other family members by adding photos or other information that seemed relevant. I am not too good at photography but have tried to add to some of the memorials with photos or other information that may give a little more insight into our loved ones who have passed on. You have my permission to use the photographs have added for genealogy or for whatever use you may have. Sometimes I find when I make a Suggested Edit to a family memorial it results in those managing the memorials transferring the memorial to me to manage, which is good and I gladly accept. There are so many memorials managed by good folks who take the time up to take photos of markers and set a memorial up although they are not family; so, when a family member does come along they transfer management to the family member. This is welcomed and I willingly will assume the responsibility of managing a memorial of a family member; but, if a closer family member comes along one of these days and prefers to manage a memorial, please understand I will transfer the memorial to a closer family member upon request. Hind site is always 20/20 but sure wish I had gotten into family genealogy and F.A.G. work much sooner when my older relatives were still alive to fill in gaps! Many thanks to all the fine folk that can give of their time to help out with F.A.G. and other genealogy sources of information. I research all families associated on either side of the Griffiths, Donahues, Minyards, Murphys, and on and on.
