I grew up in a far-south suburb of Chicago and grew to hate having neighbors on every side. I loved the country. So when I had the chance I went to horseshoeing school and became a farrier (blacksmith).
I've worked mainly on horses that had lameness issues for the last 30 years, though my back limits how much I can do these days, and am mostly retired except for consultation and temporary work.
I've also started a small online store that has to do with anything horse-related and fun called Horse Play Store. You can google it and find me if you just add a dot com to the end.
Recently I became very interested in following up the genealogy of our family and, since I've always enjoyed taking pictures, I've decided to try to fill in a few missing grave marker pictures if I get the chance.
