I have been doing genealogy for over 20 years. I have used find a grave many times to help prove or disprove genealogical information. I decided to become a photo volunteer because I believe in giving back. I hope I can be of service to families that are searching for their loved ones' final resting place. I live near a large cemetery and my aim is to photograph and create memorials for all of it. It's at 20 % so I think it is doable. I want families to be able to find their loved ones. I know what it is like to not know where your family member is and I do not want others to go thru that if I can help it. I also would like to get as many of the historical cemeteries in my town done as possible. It went from a thriving and bustling town to mostly woods now. This means a lot of its cemeteries are now deep in the woods where once many family homes stood.
