Bio

I am a documentary filmmaker and producer of the award-winning public television documentary series, Lest They Be Forgotten. I have been Capturing Courage On Camera and giving a voice to our veterans.

Many of the 1000 military veterans I have interviewed over the past 15 years are now deceased. When I started my work in early 2003, 1500 World War II Veterans were dying everyday in our country. Today there are less than half a million. In a few more years who will be alive to tell the story?

An act of remembrance is an act of honor. When when we remember our veterans we are honoring them.

History Is Best Learned From Those Who Were There!!

My work is a labor of love. It has been a true honor for myself to serve my country through the lens of a camera. I have been very fortunate and blessed to have touched history and assembled one of the largest oral histories ever recorded of Americans and Canadians at war.

If you are interested in visiting my LEST THEY BE FORGOTTEN Virtual Cemetery on this site here is the link: https://www.findagrave.com/virtual-cemetery/846037

As I have honored these many veterans in life, I now find myself honoring them in death. I also sound TAPS for Military families.

Please drop me a line and let me know you have visited my page. My goal in the next year is to find and memorialize all of the many veterans I have lost. Thank you kindly for your time.

Very sincerely and respectfully,
Larry R. Cappetto
