Bio
My parents were Leonard Leon Williams and Jeanette Mims Williams, both born in Chilton County, AL. I was born in 1939 in Selma and grew up in the country 30 miles south of Selma. I went to college in Birmingham and worked for AL Power until I married Edward Campbell in 1968. We had four children and divorced and Edward died in 2014. I now have 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and live in Montgomery. My last husband was Toxie Shields who died in 2016.
Genealogy has been almost an obsession with me since I joined the LDS Church in 1966. It's like putting a puzzle together with literally thousands of pieces and I love it! I'm related to almost everyone in Chilton County because the Mims, Bakers, Williams, Headleys, Culps, Foshees all intermarried. I appreciate Find A Grave and all the contributors to it.
