We have just begun our family history research and already found that my husband is a distant cousin of Channing Tatum's! The Tatum's date back to Jamestown, VA in the late 1600's. Kim's great grandfather was killed in one of the worst mine explosions in US history, at the Darr Mine in Jacob's Creek, Pennsylvania in Dec 1907. Many of our labor laws stemmed from this terrible tragedy, including child labor laws. It has been interesting to say the least! My husband's immediate family surnames include Frazier, Denney, Tatum, and Bender. My family's heritage includes Regina, Lucas (Lukacs), DeMaegd, and Jewell. Would love to be of help to anyone, so just ask, although we are just beginners! One problem we have encountered is that people who manage memorials are passing away and then the memorials are unable to be edited/transferred. If anyone knows a way around this, please let us know. Fun fact we just learned....the two of us are 9th cousins once removed!!
