I began my research before the internet age in 1978 when my grandmother sparked my interest in my grandfather's Draper family around Orchardville and Drapertown, IL. I visited several older folks who knew the Draper family when they were children. This increased my desire to know more of the family I never knew. Grandma (Grace E. Jones Draper) gave me names of several cemeteries and I was off and running.

My fathers family names included: Draper, Jones, Albertson, Nicholson, Morris, Slade, Brown and many other names.
My mothers family names included: Garner, Howard, Eagan, Williams, Carpenter, Brown, and others.

Since I have retired I am working on the family genealogy almost daily. Find A Grave has been very helpful, therefore, I aim to contribute and help others wherever it is possible.
