Bio

I have been working on my ancestry for many years by going to the sources in Courthouses, US Census, National Archives, and people who know the people I research. I have been very cautious not to include questionable information in order to have as few errors as possible. Find A Grave has become one of my primary sources in recent years. Who can argue with a tombstone. However, I have found a few that do not match official records. I began my search with obituaries and death records which can be wrong at times. Therefore, I went further and tried to correct those errors. Thank you to all of the dedicated people who have contributed to Find A Grave. I plan to donate my work to the Appalachian Collection in Boone, NC, so others from that region can have a resource to use when searching for their ancestors. I am blessed that most of my ancestors come from that region.
