"I Am My Own Proof"

I was born and raised right where I am in Hutchinson, Kansas. I've been a genealogist since my high school days in the 1970s when my dad gave me a big book that contained all the information of my Mennonite ancestors. I was hooked after that! Then, when my dad married my beautiful stepmom in 1984, we learned that we shared a love for family history and genealogy, we immediately connected and researched together. Just before she died in 2012, she asked me to please take over her genealogy. I ended up with a mountain of photos and her many years of research! I also do the research at the requests of both my daughters-in-law for their genealogies. I do not have all of our families on Find A Grave, but am now trying to provide more of that here (when I have time... I'm full-time caregiver for my disabled husband). I do not intentionally duplicate records; if I do, please contact me (nicely!) and I will remove it.

NOTE: [Borrowed from another FAG Contributor.] If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning. Thank You. ---- MY NOTE: I am especially interested in any cemeteries within: Reno County, Kansas; Harvey County, Kansas; and Morris County, Kansas.
