I became interested in genealogy in 1967 at the age of 15. Fortunately for me, my paternal grandparents had begun working on their own family history shortly after they were married in 1909, and spent the next forty-plus years visiting, interviewing, corresponding with hundreds of sites and thousands of people on their family lines.

Eventually, their massive files fell into my possession, and doubly fortunate for me, I had married my sweetheart who has a degree in genealogy. With the tools and instruction at hand, family history quickly became my favorite hobby.
