Bio

The Freie family lives in the Netherlands since 1840. They came from Germany (Prussia) because of the bad livingstandard at that time. My great-grandfather moved with his brothers, sisters and parents to the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. At the same period there were several relatives of him, who also emigrated. Some of them moved to the USA. They are now known there as: Freie, Freye, Frey, Fry or Friar.
In my search to the American relatives I discovered 'FindAGrave' and found much information. The help other genealogists I started to index the largest cemetery in my municipality Hellendoorn, province Overijssel, Netherlands.
I hope it will help you to get information about your ancestors in the Netherlands.
