Bio

I am originally from Crystal Springs, Mississippi (Copiah County). I am the daughter of the late Mr. Johnnie Lee Bass and Mrs. Christine (Coleman)Bass of Gatesville, Mississippi. I am currently enrolled in Stanford University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certification Program. I graduated from the University of Mississippi (OLE MISS) with an MPA/Urban and Regional Planning(84-Honors) and BA/Political Science and English(82). I am currently the President and Founder of my own company (MARY BASS' FINANCIAL EDUCATION IN A JAR). In addition, I am a CG-15 with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), in Washington, DC. I am the Director of the FDIC's Money Smart for Young People Program (Pre-K-12). I enjoy researching my family, reading, and investing in the stock market. My late father was very business oriented. He was a true entrepreneur. He loved fishing on the "Pearl River" and farming like "Great Great Grandfather Tom Bass."
