I have been working on my Family Tree since 1982. Since I joined Ancestry, I have gotten so much information. I really enjoy Ancestry. Adams, Bjork, Green, Henderson, Jennings, McClure, Powell, Watson.
A Little About myself:
I was born 31 Jan 1943 at 10:15 am. We moved from Memphis to Lake Charles LA, then to Port Arthur, finally settled in Houston, TX. Mom & Dad divorced in 1946. I was 3 years old. I believe my Mom raised me as best she could, worked hard. I never did without. When I was 8 1/2 years old, Mom & I moved to Humboldt, TN. to be close to her Dad & sister. But moved to Highland Heights area of Memphis in Sept 1955. I started going to Treadwell Jr & Sr High School. Sam delivered groceries on a bicycle. March 1957 Sam enlisted in the Marines. In May 1962 when he returned home from Hawaii on the way to Camp LeJeune, NC. I graduated the 27 May 1962. I went to work for Southern Bell Telephone Co. We started dating. I got my engagement ring, 19 June 1962. The song that was playing on the radio was "Roses Are Red My Love". We married 22, Dec 1962 at Highland Heights Baptist Church. In June 1974 we got a chance to adopt a 2 1/2 boy, Brian Anthony, he turned 3 19 Sept 1974. On 31 Dec 1976, Sam retired from the Marines, we moved to San Diego. In Jan 1978 we adopted 18 month old, Marie Elaine, who turned 2 on 24 Sept 1978. In July 1979, we brought 1 acre of land in Stagecoach NV. Put Triple Wide Mobile Home. I started to work at Harrah's Hotel & Casino Apr 1985, In 2005, I retired from Harrah's (20 years). Sam retired from Nevada State Prison in Lovelock, NV. We brought a 5th wheel & started traveling for a while. In Oct 2022 we brought a new home and gave up traveling.
