I'm interested in any kind of history, especially military and ancestral. I'm seeking information on the founding families of Etna, Pa. and it's neighboring communities. My military interest includes the 9th Pennsylvania Reserves - 38th Pa Infantry. I'm willing to accept photo requests for internments in the Glenshaw area of Pittsburgh and general vicinitys. Please contact the cemetery first to get a section and/or plot location as it is quite difficult to locate the graves without them. Any other directional help would be greatly appreciated.It truly grieves me to see the condition of many of the markers in the cemeteries that I visit, especially the veteran markers.
Do something nice today, if you see a marker that will shortly no longer be readable. Take a photo and post it so it won't be lost forever.
