I became interested in genealogy back in the 1980’s before the internet. My great great grandfather ( John Bowes) fought two terms in the Civil War, and died in a mine in Williams Township along with his brother, and his father before him (Conrad Bowes) fought in the War of 1812. Conrad was born in 1792... perhaps I go back to the Revolutionary War? I’d love to know
