Bio

I am the son of Roy B. Davis and Barbara Carroll-Davis. Born and raised in El Dorado, Arkansas I worked for the US military specializing in behavioral sciences in foreign countries. I attended the Army Armor Officer's course at Fort Knox and the Psychological Operations course at the Special Warfare School on Fort Bragg. My career came to an abrupt halt with the "draw down" of the military after the Desert Storm. I went back to school, became an RN in an emergency room. I eventually became a nurse practitioner. Now I am retired but still am volunteering through the Remote Area Medicine (RAM) clinics. I am a third generation genealogist. My grandmother founded chapters of the DAR and Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. My mother was a DAR regent. Her favorite joke was "How are Arkansas and Japan alike?" Answer - "We both eat a lot of rice and venerate our ancestors."
