I got interested in genealogy about 15 years ago when my mother's aunt sent her a family tree to review for our branch, but I was busy with a young child back then and didn't get around to starting my own research until about 5 years ago when my father in law also gave me a copy of a tree his aunt did many years ago. It's now one of my favorite hobbies that my teenage son affectionately calls "looking up dead people"...his name for it is one of the reasons I decided to start my Find A Grave page.
