My interest in genealogy began at eighteen when a great aunt from Ashtabula, Ohio visited my family in Pasadena, California. She brought two genealogies of my mother's family (William Andrews and descendants - a Hartford, CT founder and first Town Clerk). I was fascinated to learn who some of my ancestors were - One genealogy was created in 1897, and the other in 1914 for a family reunion in Oberlin, Ohio. Many years passed before I became a serious genealogist. In addition to adding hundreds of ancestors to my Family Tree Maker and Ancestry.com trees. In 2013 I was honored to be chosen to serve in 2014 as Co-Chair of the Southern California Genealogical Society's Genealogy Jamboree in Burbank, CA. I am currently serving as 1st VP of the Conejo Valley Genealogical Society, and Program Chair of our annual seminar.
