I grew up about a 1/4 mile from Friendship Cemetery with my grandparents, Hugh Verdie and Minnie Mae Jones Roberts. My Grandfather was the custodian of the church and cemetery for a long time until his death in 1958. Their children were my Father, Hugh Mosley Roberts, Charles Louis Roberts and Olen Willis Roberts. He was married to Nattie Anne McCurdy who passed in 1925. She is buried next to him with several of their infant children. They also had Odessa Catherine (Dessie) Roberts Phillips and Anna Evelyn Roberts Whisenant.
