Just got out of the military after 20 years of service and actually stations at my hometown for the last 9 years. I enjoy doing my family tree and started doing research in 1998. Most of my Mayo family are from Wayne County, North Carolina but have some in Wilson County. My mothers maiden name is Scott so I also research her side of the family and they are mostly from Wayne County. I am also related to the Evans, Davis, Crumpler, Wiggs, Cooke, Thigpens, etc. Most of my relatives stayed around the Wayne County areas including Johnston, Wilson counties.
