An 1876 map of Hamlin, WV shows Hamlin Cemetery. Sometime after it became Fairview 1934 - 1935. A beautiful hilltop view. Sarah Jane Lambert Holley 1883-1974. Being one of the oldest Central Methodist members at that time. Bessie L. Thomas Leete 1893-1980 help organize a group from  Central United Methodist Church to clean the Fairview  Cemetery.both are buried there. Hamlin Cemetery is not Fairview Memory Gardens . My motivation is the work Sue Parsons and her sister had done. The cleaning and research on the cemetery.
My family Adkins, Lovejoy, Smith, and Nelson about covers all of Lincoln County. Notes and biography of families from a group research effort of dedicated people. 1909 Lincoln County Courthouse was burned losing almost all records. Yet, "You can't bury it. The elders have it written on stone." History has a foe cause time has taken it's toll. Stones worn and fallen, now some from previous notes recalling. RAA
