Born in Mönchengladbach, Germany in the early 60ties I grew up in Lower Saxony and Westphalia near Bonn, studied in Hanover and work since 1989 in Stuttgart. Now living with my family in Dettenhausen near Tübingen.
I started genealogy after the decease of my father in 2006.
After finding 2 graves of children of my ancestors Bergeest in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands I decided to contribute for the area where I live.

I'm working on Stadtfriedhof Tübingen where many well known people from the 19th century are buried.
I support photo requests for Jewish cemeteries in Baden-Württemberg for the County's online photo archive "Findbuch EL 228 b II: Landesdenkmalamt Baden-Württemberg: Dokumentation der jüdischen Grabsteine in Baden-Württemberg, Fotografien". It is a complete photo archive which was produced from 1980 to 2000.
