Hello family tree searchers,
My maiden name is Hoaglin, and the Hoaglins hail from Illinois, Missouri and possibly NY/NJ area before my parents were married and moved to NY.
I also am a Valentine/Meek/Ewing and have been to Green-Wood Cemetary in Brooklyn, NY where I have alot of kinfolk. It seems I also have kinfolk in Canandaigua, NY, or did have :>).

The Hoaglin line story is quite interesting. There was a wagon train, somehow a child (my Great-grandfather) ended up being raised with an Indian tribe (unnamed). He settled in Clarksville, MO where he married a woman from VA/KY heritage. Their son married a Cherokee woman, and I am still working on that line. We would love to find out who my great-father really was, he said his name was Cornelius Hoaglin/Hoogland/Hoagland/or variations. he could not write nor spell. he was in the civil war with MO militia.

Hope some of my info and pics helps someone else. Have fun. Joyce
