Her father was Jacob French who was born in Lottsburg, VA. His father was William H. French who was also born in Lottsburg. His father was Samuel French who fought in the War of 1812. I found his widow's pension application that lists his date of death as 1843, but does not give his date of birth. His widow was Elizabeth Ann Haydon French. The pension application shows her brother, George D. Haydon, signed as a witness.
