Bio

I was born in Washington, DC in 1941 and lived in Chevy Chase, MD. My mother was Virginia Elizabeth French Bell who was born in 1910 in Fairport, Northumberland County, VA. Her father was Jacob French who was born in Lottsburg, VA. His father was William H. French who was also born in Lottsburg. His father was Samuel French who fought in the War of 1812. I found his widow's pension application that lists his date of death as 1843, but does not give his date of birth. His widow was Elizabeth Ann Haydon French. The pension application shows her brother, George D. Haydon, signed as a witness.
I live in Fleming Island, Clay County, Florida. I would be happy to take photos of grave stones in this area. I am next to Duval County, home of Jacksonville Jaguars, and St. John's County where you may have visited St. Augustine.
