Bio

I retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 22 years in 1999. I stay fairly active with the local veterans organizations.

My main reason for joining "Findagrave" was its assistance in helping me find the final resting places of 14 of 44 men killed in a crash of a C54 air cargo ship in November of 1945. The 44 men aboard were on there way home from Chabua India via Karachi in the CBI theater of operations at the end of WW II.

I found the site to be a bit overwhelming at first, but I'm sure if I take it slow I believe I can be an asset to others in their quests
