I started my research some 25+ years ago. My families are Bland, Holley, Staten, Murphey/Murphy and related families in the Mississippi/Alabama areas.
My interest in cemeteries came at an earlier age. My grandmother lived near a cemetery. One of the things my cousins and I would do on a long summers day would be to walk around that cemetery.
So it all began.
I, along with a friend and fellow family researcher, Peggy Aron Young, have indexed cemeteries in southern Pontotoc County and surrounding counties in Mississippi.
Currently working on adding pictures.
