I am 50 years old and have been tracing my family tree and researching other people's family trees for about 30 years off and on.

I don't drive, so I have to rely on others to take me to the local cemeteries, but while there, I photograph graves, do inscriptions, and also go to the local library to lookup obituaries in the archives of the local newspapers.

Sometimes I also will take photographs of places like the local churches where people's ancestors worshipped, their homes that they used to live in, local landmarks etc. I think it really adds to your family tree if you can see some of the places that were familiar to, or associated with your ancestors!

I am married with one daughter, who also contribues to this site. I love photography, movies, books, sewing and doing crocheting for charity.
