My mother's family has many ancestors in Lamar County, AL. Springfield Freewill Baptist church in Vernon, AL was started by my ancestor T.W. Springfield.
My father's family descends from Josiah Beaty born 1802 in South Carolina. Josiah bought about 40 acres in Lowndes County and I have family remaining on the property.
