I am the youngest grandson of Clifford Emory Johnson and Daisy Mae Hickman Johnson, who are both buried at Riverview Memorial Park, Charleston County, North Charleston, South Carolina along with my mother, Carol Dean Johnson Shannon. I am also the youngest grandson of Hubert Matthew Shannon and Lena Durden Shannon, both buried at Oakdale Cemetery, New Hanover County, Wilmington, North Carolina, along with my aunt Mary Frances Shannon who died as an infant.

My maternal great-grandparents Charlie Hiram Hickman and Minnie Lee Sellers Hickman are both buried in a family plot at Northwood Cemetery in their hometown of Southport, Brunswick County, North Carolina. My paternal great-grandparents John Edward Shannon and Mary Ann "Annie" Hunter Shannon are both buried in one of two family plots in the Catholic Cemetery in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, along with my great-great grandparents who immigrated from Ireland.

I am starting with my maternal and paternal grandparents' pages and working to link their profiles to each of those belonging to their deceased children and siblings to aid my extended family in genealogy research. It is my hope to begin with my Shannon and Johnson family lineage and expand our family trees with the help of my relatives as time permits.
