I was born in Franklin County, Georgia, 14 June 1940. I became interested in genealogy through my sister, Jane Carson Milam. After her death I picked up where she left off on our family genealogy. After I retired and bought a computer, I realized how much more of the past can now be accessed through the web.

Currently I am Vice President of the "Franklin County Historical Society" Class of 2017. I am also on the board of the "Hebron Historical Society". I am now involved in placing memorials on "Find A Grave". If I can aid anyone in finding ancestors in this area I will be happy to help. Please abide by the "Find A Grave" rules and FAQ section. Adding a name just to see it in print is of no value to me or other researchers. Also, please do the "Family Links" whenever you add a memorial.

IS IT acceptable to add a memorial for someone who is still living? (FAQ's Answer) Please try to avoid it. In general we do not encourage adding memorials for individuals who are still living. You are always welcome to create a 'pre-need' memorial for YOURSELF, if you would like, PROVIDED that you have a pre-need headstone already in place in a cemetery. A memorial created AFTER DEATH will be preferred over a pre-need memorial. (P.S.,I see this rule violated often.)

Also, Please do not exercise your ability to add genealogical data to the "flower column". I think this is non-compliance with Find A Grave rules and intentions. An additional spouse(s) should be entered in the biographical area. Hyphenated names should never be used for additional spouse(s). Always be aware of camera angles and shadows to achieve the best camera image possible. An example of how not to photograph is seen in the memorial of (#161693676).

Note to everyone: Remember the "magic" words from childhood..."PLEASE" and "THANK YOU". Use them often.
