Just recently my sister, Mother and I have untaken the task of trying to trace our family history. We have been lucky on my Mothers side considering most of her family that immigrated here from Poland stayed in the Chicagoland area and are buried at Saint Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL. The only difficulty we seemed to have faced was the horrible misspelling of several family names throughout the years. (Romkowski-Sychowski)

The biggest headache to date is our Fathers family. They seem to be a mystery, making us wonder if anyone outside of him exist. (Boylen)

We are on Ancestry.com but that too seems challenging. But then again Rome wasn't built in a day!

Also I have some free time the next 5 weeks so if anyone would like me to take a picture of a headstone in any of the Cemeteries on the Northside of Chicago let me know. I am going to the St. Boniface Cemetery on Clark this Sunday and I live right behind Rosehill Cemetery.
