I lived in Alvaton a small community in southeastern Warren County, Kentucky, for most of my life. I now live in Bowling Green just northwest of Alvaton. My great-great-great grandfather Miles Carey Sledge came to Kentucky in the early 1800's from Virginia. I am retired from a Caterpiller dealership after working 37 years there. Have been interested in genealogy for years. I am an Army veteran with service in Viet Nam (1969).
