Bio

I became interested in "Find a Grave" when I began to search for my ancestors in the US using Ancestry.com. I discovered the Morgan Cemetery in Ledyard, NY and found it in disrepair. My 5th great grandfather Thomas is buried there with his wife and several others.

I began to realize that the property owners have no connection with my ancestors, and yet, as I lifted the headstone of Thomas off the ground and wiped away the dirt, I gained a new appreciation for others loved ones and ancestors resting in the cemeteries around me. I willingly became a volunteer, seeking to help others connect with their history just as I have with mine.
