I have been taking pictures of my family ancestors graves as I work through my family tree. I was touched when I submitted some requests for grave pictures that were too far for me to drive. In less than two days the pictures were claimed, taken, and posted. That inspired me to pay it forward and try to do the same for others in my area. My favorite is to go to the old cemeteries that have long been forgotten and need to be documented and pictures taken to preserve the headstone and its information for years to come. Many such cemeteries are simply washing out, growing over, etc and I feel compelled to help preserve what I can for others who may look for that information in the future.
