I don't mind saying I'm hooked on genealogy and history and where we all fit into it! I love going to records offices, NARA, Stake Houses, genealogy rooms in libraries, especially the one in Salt Lake City and any place where records of the past can be found, and looking through old census', ship passenger lists, old documents. Finding a clue in the past and linking it to the present, is the best.

I started researching my family history in 2000. I have a great resource in my aunt on my mother's side, she has been researching for 40+ years and has that side of the family back before our Doty ancestor came over on the Mayflower. I am working to get all that information into my database. My dad's side of the family is another story, I have no aunt on that side with all the history already found. One of my big brick walls is my grandmother's maiden name was Jones. Fortunately the fun is in the search!

My main surnames are Gustafson, Luther, Nelson, Jones, Pancoast, Carrol, Huffman, Morrow, Ashby, Badgley, Buhle, Bodenhausen, Christie, Agar, Marsh, Spencer, Genung.

I really enjoy walking the cemeteries, and it is especially rewarding to be able to take photos and then share them with their families. I'm just getting started here at Find A Grave. I not only hope to find many more of my ancestors but help as many others as I can along the way, look at my virtual cemeteries to see the ancestors I've found so far.
