Bio

I began my family research many years ago with the help of my father. He was one of 13 children and knew that several died at birth or in infancy. It took me many years to find these siblings, sadly, he passed away before learning more. I also enjoy reading the old newspapers and devoted many days, nights and hours collecting articles on my husband's family who were among the early settlers of Tremont, Schuylkill County. Being an active member of the Tremont Area Historical Society I volunteered to compile a book for publication as a fund raiser, on the numerous articles (obits, births, marriages, their sorrows, their joys, and movements)I collected so many early families (1856-1900) located in and around the surrounding areas of Tremont. It is still available, contact me at my email address [email protected] for further information in obtaining a copy. My husband and I also indexed all four cemeteries in Tremont and I have a typed set of headstones. I may be able to help you locate a loved one, just email me and make the subject line burial in Tremont.
I am not related to the memorials of some of the Tremont families listed here, however, if they are yours' I will gladly transfer. I am re-searching Linn/Schoffstall/ Penberth/Travena/Hoffman/Ebert/Reber/Krater families.
Happy Hunting!
