Published three books on family genealogy including Virginia, Alabama, and Texas. In December 2010 authored "John Day, Colonial Blacksmith of Charlottesville" which appeared in Magazine of Albemarle & Charlottesville History. Two daughters are members of Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
