I am a speech Language Pathologist. I stumbled into the addictive world of Genealogy in my search for my father and his first family. An obituary for his sister, my Aunt,led me to my First cousin Doris and my half-sister Rachel. My sister had been working on the family genealogy for 25 years. So we have a shared passion.
I have been meeting family on Facebook and had fun finding the connection. Its a puzzle to be solved.
What led me into the search for graves & headstones it was the need to find the names of my grandmother's short-lived siblings. I only knew of the 11 who made it to adulthood, but a recent comment from an older cousin about Great Grandmother having 17 children after finding a 2 mo old on a census has me searching to add those lost to the family archives.
I am searching for the graves and records of the Children of William Hillary Poindexter and Mollie E. Mills from Gibson County, Tenn. Hillary and Mollie are buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, Tenn. with my Grandparents, Edward Dabney Terry and Mattie Lucy Poindexter, my Uncle Edward Terry and most recently my Mother, Elizabeth Anne Terry Byars.
