Bio

I have deep ancestry roots in Nemaha County, Nebraska. My g-g-g grandfather, Church Howe, was one of the first pioneers and settlers of the area. He was instrumental in the layout and design of Auburn, NE. He was a state senator, V.P and Director of the Misssouri-Pacific Railroad, and U.S. Ambassador to Sheffield, Eng., Palermo, Italy, and Antwerp, Belgium. Despite his worldly travels, Church Howe called Auburn his home. He, along with his son Herbert Rhodes Howe, owned Walnut Grove Stock Farm in Nemaha County. I live in Calif. and am indebted to this site for the efforts of your photo volunteers for helping me piece together the puzzle of my ancestry. Thank You!
