In 1982 I compiled a book of the epitaphs of the five cemeteries in New Fairfield, Conn. I did it by physical inspection and filled in partially illegible inscriptions by previously published and private sources. Some tombstones which were previously recorded are now missing altogether. this book was an attempt to help preserve part of the history and people of New Fairfield so that they may be "Gone But Not Forgotten". I also did an Addendum to Tombstones of Mountain View Cemetery New Fairfield, Ct. in April 2012. The Addendum is only on the old section of the cemetery.
